About Us

Our Kitsap Story

Our story began in Kitsap County in 1955, when Mahlon and Doreen Wixson purchased a small house on Bucklin Hill in Silverdale.

The one-bedroom house grew along with their family. Mahlon worked as a welder at the shipyard and sold hay to local farmers on the side. In his spare time, he built additions to the house as the family grew. Over the years, the small home became a four-bedroom house where they raised their family.

In the mid-1970s, Mahlon and Doreen expanded into multifamily real estate, building three apartment buildings with a total of 18 units in Old Town Silverdale near the boat launch. They owned the apartments until the late 1990s and developed lasting relationships with many of their tenants, some of whom became family friends.

After retiring from the shipyard, where he had served as superintendent of the Structural Group, Mahlon started a small business selling metalizing equipment out of his garage. The business grew over time, creating new opportunities for our family and eventually leading us into commercial and industrial real estate.

Mahlon’s son, Dave, took over the metalizing equipment business and continued the family’s approach to hard work and business. As the company grew, we moved five times into larger facilities. Rather than sell the buildings we outgrew, we kept them and leased them to other businesses. Over time, this became an important part of our real estate business.

Dave continued to expand our real estate holdings, including developing a property on Eldorado Boulevard and purchasing the former ACE Paving maintenance shop complex in Silverdale.

Today, Dave works alongside his son Ryan, who is becoming more involved in the family business and its future. Ryan is helping manage our properties and plan new developments, including a new proposed industrial park in Silverdale. Together, they are continuing to manage our existing properties and look for opportunities to grow the business.

Growing with Our Community

Today, we own and lease commercial and industrial properties throughout Silverdale’s Urban Growth Area. Our properties serve contractors, businesses, municipalities, and other organizations.

Our portfolio includes industrial buildings, truck parking, laydown yards, equipment storage, and ACE Boat and RV Storage at Newberry Heights Industrial Park in Silverdale.

What began with a family home and a small business in a garage has grown over three generations into a commercial and industrial real estate business serving local businesses and organizations.

Looking Ahead

Hard work, practical decision-making, and a long-term approach to business have guided our family from the beginning. Those same values continue to shape how we manage our properties, work with our tenants, and approach new projects.

With Dave and Ryan working together, we are building on what Mahlon and Doreen started in Silverdale in 1955. As the business moves into its next generation, our focus remains on maintaining our properties, supporting local businesses, and developing opportunities for the future while staying rooted in the Kitsap County community.
